Tankinetics Composite Products

Innovations and ASME Accreditation
Tankinetics was the world’s first FRP Composites company accredited by ASME to engineer and build custom FRP pressure vessels to meet state laws as required. ASME Section X Class II vessels are available to 16 feet in diameter at pressures up to 250 PSIG. The vessels are built to precise standards and AE tested as proof of design before they can be ASME Code Stamped.

Tankinetics is also accredited by ASME to engineer and build ASME RTP-1 Stamped vessels. RTP-1 is a Quality Assurance/Quality Control process that includes laminator testing and certifications for vessels operating in corrosive service up to and including +/- 15 PSIG. Large diameter ring oblated vessels can be ASME RTP-1 Stamped.

Tankinetics Specialized Manufacturing

Tankinetics’ Ring Oblation System
Tankinetics pioneered the innovative modular shipping and field erection concept called Tankinetics’ Ring Oblation System.

This technology facilitates shipping and erecting Tankinetics’ large diameter cylindrical composite tanks.

Oblation enables our large shop fabricated tanks (up to 60 feet in diameter) to be oblated according to precise mathematical formulas, nested together, and shipped to the erection site. There, the tank is de-nested, de-oblated, and the sections are bonded together.

This system results in lower costs, better quality, and faster field erection. Tankinetics originally patented this system. Our more than 30 years of experience in oblation technology is unmatched by any other company in the composites industry.

Field Construction
Tankinetics designs and builds large diameter cylinders on the customer’s site in a temporary controlled plant. This allows the customer to gain economies on multi-vessel orders or for tall structures such as Stack Liners to minimize field joints.
